Welcoming of our boys from Italy
Umtata High Sporting activities provide a platform for our learners to showcase their gifted talents besides that it provides health benefit. Sport assist our leaners to gain Self-Confidence, Discipline and great Leadership skills. As UHS family, we aim to create Unity amongst our Learners through Sport
School exhilarated seeing our Boys going as far as Milan in Italy to represent our school Umtata High ,not just representing the school but King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality and the whole country of South Africa. On the 1st June 2022, Umtata High School and King Sabata Dalindyebo Municipality welcomed local football heroes Semi Siduka and Lizwi Mdikane from their soccer trials which were held in Italia Calcio coaching Tournament. The boys stayed for two months in Italy for trials. The KSDM office expressed their excitement in welcoming the boys back to Mthatha and Principal Mr S Abraham was very happy to see them back and emphasized that skills acquired while on the trials have to be planted back to the school to develop other athletes.
